If you are like us at Deville, we like to give people the benefit of the doubt. This can prove trying at best when an individual ultimately doesn’t share the same values. You can hope, can explain, can push, as much as you like and just when you think you are getting through, their actions tell you a different story. Maybe they do understand in their own way but, their actions give you a ‘perception’ of them whether you want that perception or not. For example, we LOVE longboarding for many reasons. Two reasons that pertain to this particular blog are 1) how longboarding is used for pure fun and 2) how it is for used as a means of competition. So in your opinion, how do you decipher the ones who are there to compete from the ones who are there to screw around/have fun? It’s a fine line because competing IS fun but, there IS a difference. How do you perceive this difference?
